  • [VIDEO] Donald Trump, CNN's Jim Acosta Argue at Press Conference

John Legend lambasted President Donald Trump's behavior at a press conference at the White House on Wednesday after the president ripped into CNN's Jim Acosta, labeling him a "rude, awful person".

Trump's morning post-midterms presser turned into an historic White House brawl when Acosta poked the presidential bear with his line of questioning about Trump's Caravan Invasion rally rhetoric.

ACOSTA: Mr. President, I had one other question if I may ask on the Russian Federation investigation.

Trump has always been frustrated with Sessions over his recusal from the Russian Federation investigation. Trump said he's not.

Flake was a steady critic of Trump's policies during the first two years of his presidency.

After a war of words between the journalist and president, Trump said CNN was fake news and, as such, an enemy of the people.

"I give her a lot of credit".

"What you just said is so insulting to me", he added.

When another reporter shouted a question a few minutes later, Trump asked her to sit down.

Patience Wears Thin as Migrant Caravan Heads North
About 20 percent of asylum applications were granted in 2017, according to the Department of Homeland Security. US immigration laws say migrants seeking asylum can do so no matter how they arrive at the U.S.

Acosta continued to ask questions, including whether Trump was "concerned" about potential indictments coming from the Mueller probe. After delivering prepared remarks, he fielded questions from reporters for almost 90 minutes on Wednesday, asserting the results marked a win for the GOP, defending his impact, and expressing eagerness to work on bipartisan legislation with House Democrats.

In response, CNN said Trump's attacks on the press have gone too far. He also noted that the impoverished members of the caravan might be intending to try and enter the country legally.

"Mr. President, I have one other question on the Russian Federation investigation". And the way you treat other people is disgusting.

Trump called Acosta a "rude, terrible" person. I think you should let me run the country. Trump tweeted earlier in the day that those who "worked with me in this incredible Midterm Election, embracing certain policies and principles, did very well".

During the heated exchange, Trump said this after ordering him to put down the mic: "I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them".

He also described CNN as "the enemy of the people".

Trump noted that the Republicans were outspent but still managed to stave off a "blue wave" election.

Some reporters pushed him on whether his campaign rhetoric on migrants from central America was divisive, as well as the Russian Federation investigation - but Mr Trump aggressively pushed back.
