The Washington Post also cited officials in Wednesday's report as saying Khashoggi's remains were dissolved in acid, yet another claim that contradicts the Saudi account, which has shifted over time.

The meetings came shortly after The Washington Post revealed in a report earlier in the day that Netanyahu has asked US President Donald Trump to continue supporting MBS despite accusations that he ordered a hit job on anti-Riyadh journalist Jamal Khashoggi last month.

Saudi Arabia denies its royal family was involved and says it is "determined to find out all the facts".

"We are calling the entire world to put the necessary pressure, worldwide pressure, on the Saudi government to find his remains, to be able to bury him, even before finding those who are responsible, before this issue is covered up", Faith Oke, executive director of the Turkey-Arab Media Association, said Thursday.

Saudi officials have for weeks pushed a theory, via anonymous leaks to the media, that Khashoggi's killers rolled the Saudi journalist's body in some kind of carpet or fabric and gave it to a Turkish coconspirator for removal from the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

The call from Mohammed bin Salman took place before Saudi Arabia acknowledged that the writer was murdered and urged Kushner, President's Trump's son-in-law and a White House adviser, and Bolton to maintain the alliance between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, the Washington Post reported. Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported that he had boarded a plane back to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, having met with the Istanbul chief prosecutor twice.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have chose to cancel most of its $5 million charity to Saudi following Jamal Khashoggi's murder.

Town fans are not asking for a billionaire with millions to splash; they are asking for a club which they can be proud of again. Although populist leader Thaksin was overthrown soon after by strongly royalist officers, it didn't stop Vichai's ascendancy.

The Crown Prince urged the advisors to preserve the US-Saudi alliance and claimed the journalist was a member of the Sunni Islamist organisation the Muslim Brotherhood, according to the Washington Post.

Khashoggi's family rejected the characterization in a statement to the newspaper.

After weeks of grisly rumours, Turkey's chief prosecutor has confirmed that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was strangled and dismembered as soon as he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul one month ago.

He entered the consulate to sort out documents for his marriage to his Turkish fiancée, Hatice Cengiz.

Turkey has steered away from publicly blaming Saudi Arabia for the killing.

"Jamal Khashoggi was not a unsafe person in any way possible".

Bin Salman, who in recent years has loosened strict social rules and arrested Saudi clerics deemed "extremists", said in April that Israelis are entitled to live peacefully on their own land.
