Bob Woodward's book Fear: Trump in the White House released on Kindle

  • White House officials flagged Trump's behavior to psychiatrist last year

Other Trump aides, including chief of staff John Kelly and Defense Secretary James Mattis, have denied quotes attributed to them in the book - quotes that ridicule Trump as "unhinged" and acting like a grade-school child.

"No lie detectors are being used or talked about", she said, adding that everyone in the administration is focused on advancing the president's agenda, not worrying about the "gutless" author of the op-ed.

During his business career, Trump wrote almost 20 books, including "The Art of the Deal".

Nothing of significance has emerged from the efforts to exploit Afghanistan's minerals, but Trump's Afghanistan-centric South Asia strategy, unveiled in August 2017, said the USA would stay with additional troops.

Woodward's account was reinforced by an anonymous op-ed by a senior administration official published last week in The New York Times that described staffers working to stave off Trump's destructive instincts.

"Trump in the White House", made some astounding revelations and painted a picture of a chaotic White House, with aides at their wit's end with the commander-in-chief.

And in April 2017, after Syria's Bashar al-Assad attacked civilians with chemical weapons, Woodward reports, Trump demanded Mattis assassinate Assad.

Mr Woodward told the BBC: "People in the White House they told me, to a certain extent, they spend a third of their time stopping things that are risky or not really consistent with a policy to protect the United States and the national security".

Areola saves France in draw with Germany
In Southgate's two years in charge, the Three Lions have also failed to beat Germany , Brazil, Italy and Spain in friendly matches.

Trump also derided his predecessor's return to politics. The book will be released on Tuesday.

Woodward also claims in the book that former Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn once removed a document from the president's desk that would have ended a trade deal with South Korea. On Monday, it was ranked as the top-selling book on Amazon.

Bob Woodward's book "Fear: Trump in the White House", sold more than 750,000 copies through Tuesday, its first day of publication, publisher Simon & Schuster says.

"The Woodward book is a Joke - just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources", Mr. Trump tweeted.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Woodward staunchly defended the integrity of his reporting and said the book, which comes out this week, "is as carefully done as you can do an excavation of the reality of what goes on".

"Dems can't stand losing. It's what the president wants.'", Woodward quotes Priebus as saying.

"You can, in an nearly microscopic way, establish what occurred - and that's what I've done in this book".
