  • 'Bachelor in Paradise' preview: Why Colton wants to end things with Tia

Underwood first joined the dating show in The Bachelorette season that had him vying for the affections of Becca Kufrin.

Tia also posted on Instagram about the split after Monday's episode of Bachelor in Paradise aired.

The 26-year-old Underwood received kudos for his candor when speaking about his virginity and received widespread support by viewers when he discussed the sensitive topic during his emotional breakdown on The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All reunion. "So, I made up a lot of lies, and I hid it and I was ashamed of it".

"One thing I took pride in on both seasons was being true to who I am", Underwood said on Tuesday's Good Morning America broadcast, where the casting announcement was made. "'Third time's a charm.' That's what they say, right?"

M-Net is also working on the first South African version of The Bachelor and it will debut in 2019. "It took all of that to get to where I'm at now and know who I am as a person and know what I want in a life partner".

US Open 2018: Roger Federer knocked out by Australian John Millman
As Federer's serving went from bad to worse, Millman - who was growing in confidence - immediately broke again to level the match. "Millman's first top ten victory lands him a spot in the QF against Djokovic", tweeted US Open's official Twitter handle.

As for the new season, Underwood is just looking forward to what the future has in store for him.

Former NFL player Colton Underwood will be handing out roses as the lead on the next season of "The Bachelor", it was announced Tuesday.

The titular "Bachelor" on the next season of the hit ABC show might be familiar to football fans, or at least those with an intimate knowlegde of training camp and practice squad rosters.

But fans were quick to take to social media to refute this claim, as the 26-year-old dated United States gymnast Aly Raisman between 2016 and 2017 and pictures of the pair with Colton's family appeared online.

Congratulations to Colton, or better yet, good luck.
