Jordan famously backed out of a free agent deal with the Mavs in 2015.

All signs point to the Mavericks being his likely destination, as Dallas is one of few teams with the cap room to sign a player who will command upwards of $20 million per year.

There is still work to do for the Mavericks, who finished 24-58 last season, to become a playoff contender in the Western Conference.

Jordan had until 11:59 p.m. ET Friday to make a decision on whether to exercise the option.

DeAndre Jordan will be under a 1 year contract for $24.1 million. They are expected to be major players in 2019, though, when they're projected to have up to $50 million in order to sign free agents in a class that's expected to be deeper and more talented than this one.

Xiaomi launches Mi Pad 4 with Snapdragon 660, 8-inch screen
The device will come in three variants, including 3GB RAM + 32GB storage , 4GB RAM + 32GB storage , and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage . The tablet packs a metal build and will be available in Wi-Fi only and there will be a cellular version with Nano SIM as well.

Stein reported that the Mavericks were unwilling to give up assets in a trade with the Clippers. The deal with Dallas is reportedly approaching the same amount, according to Stein. The 29-year-old previously experienced it in 2015 and memorably agreed to a deal with the Dallas Mavericks before backing out of it to remain with the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-year contract. He chose to stay in L.A. following a saga that took the league by storm.

Jordan averaged 12.0 points and 15.2 rebounds last season with the Clippers, his 5th straight year averaging a double-double. He was the 35th overall pick (2nd round) in the 2008 draft.

Three years after they almost came together, the Mavericks finally get the center they have long coveted.

Jordan did, however, improve his free throw shooting, going from 48.2 per cent in 2016-17 to 58.0 per cent last season.
