Storm clouds have gathered over Tesla ever since the Model 3 went into production.

Tesla is ramping up production of its all-important small vehicle.

According to local media, police said the woman at the wheel of the auto claimed it was in a self-driving mode and that her attention was on her phone.

It's not the structural design of Tesla cars at issue here, but the reliability of Autopilot.

Morgan Stanley is getting more negative over profitability of Tesla's (TSLA) Model 3 electric vehicle.

Musk's off-script musings could hurt Tesla's ability to obtain cash from capital markets, Jonas told Bloomberg shortly after the call concluded.

We spoke with Tesla to learn the extent of updates and found five updates that have been rolled out to existing Model 3 owners.

3 dead, 1 injured in sword attack on Indonesia police headquarters
The church bombing family were in the same religious study group as the two other families linked to the attacks, police said. State Department terrorist list that is reckoned to have drawn hundreds of Indonesian sympathizers of Islamic State.

Huang's hands were "not detected on the wheel for six seconds prior to the collision", Tesla said in the blog.

Among accidents to make headlines was a fiery crash on 23 March in California that involved its Autopilot feature. "It is not a self-driving system", Musk said.

The front end of the Tesla was completely crushed in the incident near 10400 S. Bangerter Highway on Friday, and police said the vehicle was traveling at around 60 miles per hour when it hit the vehicle.

A USA traffic safety regulator on May 2 contradicted Tesla's claim that the agency had found that its Autopilot technology significantly reduced crashes.

Tesla has since pushed back its 20,000 units/month production goal to the end June of 2018.

After a rough start to the week - Tesla shares closed down 3 per cent Monday after Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk announced a "thorough reorganization" - Jonas' latest call is further weighing on the stock Tuesday, with shares down as much as 3.9 per cent in morning trading. Tesla's Autopilot allows the vehicle to drive itself for short periods of time with steering, acceleration, and braking based on traffic conditions. The family alleges the crash was the fault of Tesla's Autopilot feature.

The US National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident, which led to the death of a 38-year-old father of two, Walter Huang. Jalopnik asserts that witnesses of the crash didn't see the Model S brake before the impact.
