Google has begun rolling out a big Gmail update for iPhone and iPad, adding the ability to snooze emails and send money via Google Pay. Gmail with Smart Compose evolves as you email messages, learning from what you do, giving you suggestions based on what it's learned. These come in addition to the Smart Compose feature for Gmail and the improvements to Google Assistant, all based on AI. If you like what it suggests, all you have to do is hit the tab button to autofill the rest of that sentence and start your next one.

Google has been talking up its focus on artificial intelligence at its I/O 2018 keynote today and one of the first new features that it announced was Smart Compose in Gmail. You can take a look at the feature in action below. "It can even suggest relevant contextual phrases", Google stated.

Smart Compose arrives off the heels of a recent Gmail redesign that includes features like Nudging, Snooze, and others. The company cites an example of the suggested closing phase of "Have a great weekend!", if you happen to be composing an email and it's a Friday.

Terre Haute to pay respects to Officer Pitts
We grieve, but stand ready to battle evil and understand that life is precious and shouldn't be taken for granted. State police will be handling the investigation into the officer's death, Watts said in a tweet around 8:30 p.m.

You will need to be using new Gmail to use it. If you're in the dead of winter, Smart Compose might suggest "stay warm out there!" After the new Gmail is active, go back to Settings - General - and scroll down to "Experimental Access".

You might be able to access Smart Compose right this minute.

Either way, Smart Compose will appear in the new Gmail for consumers over the next few weeks, and arrive to business G Suite customers in the coming months.
