Cavs Reportedly Won't Punish Rodney Hood for Refusing to Enter Game 4

Hood has averaged just 5.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game through the playoffs, but even that modest output was on the wane through Games 1 to 3 against the Raptors, as the inconsistent swingman struggled at both ends of the floor. They've already have more than enough in the previous year, which plays benefits Hood's benefit this time.

Hood only played seven minutes in the Cavs' Game 7 victory over in, and played a reduced role in the second round against Toronto.

The Cavs swept the Raptors and await either the Boston Celtics or Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference finals.

No explanation was offered following the game, but a report from The Athletic indicated the team was weighing a possible suspension during the Eastern Conference Finals.

"Rodney, he could be better", Lue said prior to last night's game, according to Jason Lloyd. He's 2-for-15 from 3-point range in the postseason and a team-worst minus-67 in 170 playoff minutes.

Bank Holiday Monday looks set to be another scorcher
The record since the bank holiday was introduced in 1978 is 23.6C, and the record for the whole of the weekend is 28.6C. Cooler and wetter weather is expected in July before a possibly record-breaking heatwave in August.

Rodney Hood, whom the Cavs traded for at the deadline, reportedly refused to enter the contest in the fourth quarter of Monday night's blowout.

With Hood set to become a restricted free agent this summer, it's easy to imagine why he might be frustrated with his diminished role in the Cavaliers system, but he has since apologized for his actions. "We're trying to win a championship", an unnamed Cavaliers player told The Athletic about Hood's behavior.

Hood missed games multiple times down the stretch with a lower back strain and a sore left Achilles, but Lloyd reported that "according to multiple people who witnessed the exchange, this had nothing to do with stiffness and everything to do with a young player pouting".

He was acquired from the Utah Jazz in a three-team deal in February.

Since then, Hood has reportedly apologized to general manager Koby Altman for his refusal and plans on apologizing to the rest of the team once they're reunited.
