  • Fitbit gets quick replies and menstrual cycle tracking

Fitbit (NYSE:FIT) introduces a female health tracking feature in iOS and Windows.

For female health tracking, Fitbit details the ability to track menstrual cycles and symptoms, which should help optimize your health goals and life planning.

The more you log your cycle, the more Fitbit will be able to determine. Android users get quick replies through the Iconic or Versa.

Default quick replies include: 'Yes, ' 'No, ' 'Sounds Good!,' 'Can't talk now - will reply later, ' and'Whats up?' You're also able to respond with a variety of emojis including the smiley face, crying with laughter face, running emoji, and more. The latest addition to Fitbit OS is support for health partner apps and clock faces, which have been built using the proprietary software development kit (SDK).

Hawaii volcano destroys dozens of homes, forces evacuations
Video posted on social media showed lava spewing several feet into the air from a new crackin a Leilani Estates street. On Saturday, she acquired alerts from her safety system that movement sensors all through the home had been triggered.

And what would a Fitbit wearable be without fitness tracking? Fitbit's new women's health tools, on the other hand, will be launching later this month.

On the Ionic and Versa meanwhile, you can now track where you are in your cycle, view when your period is expected, and predict your upcoming fertile window in the on-device dashboard (by swiping up from the clock face). "With these apps and clock faces, we continue to deliver on our promise to bring important health information to the wrist", said James Park, co-founder and CEO of Fitbit.

Dexcom is among the companies offering a Fitbit smartwatch app to improve diabetes management relaying blood glucose data from Dexcom's devices to the watches to sit alongside activity data. By tapping into all of the other data you log with Fitbit (such as steps, calories burned, heart-rate, etc.), women will be able to see any links between biometrics and their menstruation. In the future, Fitbit hopes to use all this menstrual data to offer insights about how sleep and exercise impact your period and vice versa. According to Fitbit, this means women will be able to see how their menstrual cycle affects other health indicators like sleep, weight and food intake. It is also adding text responses for Android users.

Additional apps from Fitabase, Go365 by Humana, Limeade (available now), Sickweather and Walgreens (now available) have also been announced.
