  • Instagram quietly launches payments for commerce

This means that today, combined side YouTube videos, iPhone users may view Instagram and face book videos directly within their whats app conversation too.

Instagram has confirmed that it is working on a native payments feature for booking appointments at restaurants, salons, or other services, and that the feature is already live for some users in the USA and the UK.

Instagram has quietly started to introduce in-app payments.

As I have mentioned, the WhatsApp Payments is still not released for all users and its still under the testing stage but if you haven't got the option to test it or try it then read the following steps to get it now.

We've confirmed that the payment settings are now visible; some, but not all, users in the USA have it while at least some in the United Kingdom don't. If you can see the feature rolling out, you'll find it in your profile settings under "payments settings". Now users will be able to pay Resy directly through Instagram payment option for booking any table.

Past year in March, Instagram had made its intention clear of allowing bookings for its new application services directly through its login profile. This feature conforms to that plan but also adds native payments to make the experience more seamless.

While the feature is only available to a select few users, reports show how it lets you register a debit or credit card and a security pin as part of your profile. She noted that WhatsApp users already clocked over 2 billion minutes of video and audio calls, indicating the popularity of the feature.

Till now this feature has not been rolled out global level, some users have received it while others not. What remains to be seen, is if Instagram will also introduce peer-to-peer payments similar to Messenger in the future.

"As 800 million use Instagram each month to discover and follow their passions, more and more people are using it to connect with businesses they love", Instagram said in a blog post celebrating reaching 25 million listed businesses last November. Remaining logged into the app to complete the transaction is likely to make the new application more user-friendly as it contributes significantly toward operational convenience.
