  • US secretary of state arrives in Riyadh for official visit

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman reportedly said during a recent meeting with Jewish leaders that Palestinian leaders need to accept US-led peace offerings with Israel or "shut up and stop complaining".

The will-be-king of Saudi Arabia apparently harshly criticized Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (also known as Abu Mazen), according to a cable sent to the Israeli foreign ministry by an Israeli diplomat in NY.

Saudi crown prince criticises Palestinian leadership, says must accept what U.S. offers or stop complaining, report says. The report cited an Israeli foreign ministry cable sent by a diplomat from the Israeli consulate in NY as well three other sources - Israeli and American - who were briefed about the meeting.

"It is about time the Palestinians take the proposals and agree to come to the negotiations table or shut up and stop complaining", he continued.

"The Palestinian issue is not a top priority for the Saudi government or for the Saudi public", he reportedly said.

Commenting on the AME show, Saudi culture minister Awwad Alawwad - who initiated the event with his Egyptian counterpart - says: "It is a momentous occasion for Saudis".

Saudi Arabia also allowed Air India to begin flying to and from Tel Aviv via its airspace last month.

"In the last several decades the Palestinian leadership has missed one opportunity after the other and rejected all the peace proposals it was given", bin Salman reportedly said in a report published on Axios website by Barak Ravid, Channel 10's senior diplomatic correspondent.

Saudi Arabia now doesn't officially recognize Israel - although the two powers have a common interest in combating Iran.

"We will seek the best to help us as we invent a new entertainment experience for all residents and visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia".

The Palestinian Authority has boycotted the White House since it announced that it was recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and relocate the embassy.

He added: "I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land".
