At the time, Frida Lyngstad teased: "Our fans around the world are always asking us to reform and so I hope this new Abba creation will excite them as much as it excites me!"

After splitting in 1982, ABBA announced on April 27 that they have written and recorded their first new songs in 35 years! "So we did", the group said in a statement, confirming speculation of a reunion. "A time machine that captures the essence of who we were. An extremely joyful experience!" the post read.

The resulting two songs, one of which is titled "I Still Have Faith in You", will be part of a TV special that airs on NBC and the BBC sometime next winter.

But there's not been new music from ABBA, who broke through with a win at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with "Waterloo". Instead, they're sending hologram avatars out on tour.

Founded in Stockholm in 1972, the Europop group composed of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad - their initials forming the band's name - made global charts with their unique tunes, featuring classical undertones and synthesizing.
