  • Highs try to reach 60-degrees for Saturday

Tuesday will be much cooler than today, Head said, with cloud cover continuing to thicken throughout the day and rain showers by mid-afternoon.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, but dry with some degree of afternoon sun, and highs in the upper 60's to around 70. While we're dealing with some scattered showers this morning, and an extensive amount of fog in parts of CT, the sky will become partly sunny. A cold front on Wednesday will bring the chance for more showers, especially in the evening, as highs stay in the upper 60s. Temperatures will be warming back up, and the upper 70s will be back. A slight chance of showers Friday night and into Saturday. Skies are mostly sunny to sunny with light winds out of the southwest around 5 to 10 miles per hour. No worries, an area of high pressure will look to bring a nice break to the region by the start of next week. Temperatures today will warm up to about 70° with breezy winds from the northwest and no more rain.

RACE WEEKEND: Thursday looks pretty wet at the Talledega Superspeedway, with rain likely during the morning and a high in the 60s. Thursday night low temperatures will fall into the 40s with a cloudy sky. Highs will be around 70 degrees.

Saturday is prescription drug take-back day
The Cedar Falls Police Department will once again participate in a national effort to remove potentially unsafe drugs from homes. The CDC reports that one person dies every 19 minutes from a drug overdose in the USA through prescription pain killers.

Tomorrow morning we will wake up dry with a good dose of sunshine but don't leave your umbrellas at home.

Mostly sunny skies and warmer too! Highs will climb into the lower 80s on Tuesday, which will make it the warmest day of 2018!
