In January, she revealed to members of her fan club that she had surgery for a broken wrist and that the injuries to her face required 40 to 50 stitches! Carrie shared her first photo of her uncovered face since the accident, and couldn't appear more like her usual radiant self.
Carrie Underwood is making her way back into the spotlight after getting seriously hurt in a fall.
"When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different", Underwood also wrote. "It's insane how a freak random accident can change your life", she wrote in a blog post, according to Entertainment Tonight. They were not only happy to see Underwood's face, but excited that she was back in the studio and working on new music.
Almost five months after suffering a fall at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, that required her to undergo surgery for a broken wrist and get 40 to 50 stitches on her face, the "Champion" singer is starting to share more selfies on social media.

After the fall, Underwood was confronted with what could be of the most traumatic events to strike an entertainer whose personal appearance is part of her brand. Instead, the photos she did post on Instagramonly showed portions of her face. One side of her face is in clear view, as she stays focused on the music.
