No. 11 Loyola (Ill.) sent the first shockwave through the 2018 NCAA Tournament Thursday, stunning No. 6 Miami with a last-second 3-pointer.

Gonzaga avoided a valiant surge from UNC-Greensboro to keep from becoming March's first upset, but Miami wasn't so lucky.

Ingram, who scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds this afternoon, teed up a long straightaway three after a bricked free throw by Lonnie Walker IV. The final score was 64-62.

It was Loyola's 11th straight win.

Loyola look like a confident, experienced group in the first half when they raced out to an early lead.

But the Ramblers missed back-to-back shots under the bucket. Clayton Custer finished with 14 points for Loyola. Miami guard Dejan Vasiljevic hit a jumper at the buzzer to knot the game up at 28. With under a second left on the clock, Donte Ingram found the ball in his hands.

Loyola got another chance when Miami turned the ball over on the ensuing inbounds pass but a few shot attempts inside for the Ramblers wouldn't go.

Waardenburg was defending Ingram on the play but couldn't stop him getting off his shot.

Tennessee's next opponent in the NCAA tournament advanced to the second round in dramatic fashion.
