  • Philadelphia Eagles Patrick Robinson 30 will sign with the Saints in free agency according to reports

Robinson spent a season in San Diego with the Chargers, a year in Indianapolis and then spent last season with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

The New Orleans Saints and Robinson agreed to a four-year deal two hours ahead of the start of free agency, a source familiar with the situation confirmed Wednesday (March 14).

The Saints selected him in the first round of the 2010 draft. Robinson signed a one-year contract worth $775,000 with the Eagles in 2017.

The Eagles attempted to re-sign Robinson, but ultimately didn't have the cap space for what he sought. Robinson came up with a game-changing interception return for a touchdown against the Vikings in the NFC Championship.

Met fires James Levine after investigation into sexual abuse
He said that at one point Levine had the group don blindfolds and masturbate partners they could not see. We thank the more than 70 individuals who were interviewed during the course of the investigation .

Robinson was more than steady; he also brought big-play ability to the defense. The 30-year-old mostly covered the slot in Philadelphia. Already signing safetyKurt Coleman from the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans adds another experienced member to its vastly-improved secondary that already features Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore and respectable contributors Ken Crawley, Marcus Williams and Vonn Bell.

In New Orleans, Robinson can still compete for a title with a team that has a legitimate shot to contend.

Robinson would fit well as a slot defender on the Patriots defense, who just lost Malcolm Butler to the Tennessee Titans.
