The first bombing on march 2 killed Anthony House, 39. He said that the police department received over 150 calls about suspicious packages, as of 5 a.m. March 13.

"This is the third in what we believe to be related incidents", Manley said at a Monday press conference. "It make take a little while to get there because we are getting several calls".

The packages that exploded on Monday were not delivered by any mainstream commercial shipping services, such as FedEx or United Parcel Service, Manley has said. Investigators have not come up with a motive, and he did not say if anybody has claimed responsibility. "There is a certain level of skill required to put a device like this together successfully".

"There's oftentimes unique factors amongst the components that will narrow down distribution, sales point, that sort of thing", Hahn said. "We are willing to investigate any avenue that may be involved".

Investigators have not determined a motive for the attacks, but it is possible that the victims could have been targeted due to their race, he said. But the next victim was a Latina, after which police declined to speculate on a possible pattern.
