  • Sister Catherine Rose Holzman 89 is shown during an older court proceeding alongside the property she is in a battle with the L.A. archdiocese and Katy Perry over

Sister Catherine Rose was one of the nuns fighting Katy Perry over the singer's claims to the Los Feliz property on which a former convent of the Los Angeles Archdiocese once stood.

During an interview in 2015, she explained: "After she spoke [about] her lifestyle, and what we have been teaching for years and our older sisters have been teaching, and what we believe in, [she] just did not fit".

The case has been put on hold following the nun's death, although they had previously appealed to Pope Francis directly to give them their convent back.

But the Archdiocese argued the nuns did not have the right to sell the property, which includes 30,000 square feet of living space, a pool, a tower and an adjoining prayer house, and instead approved a sale to Perry, despite the fact that Hollister was already living there.

The pair were trying to sell a convent in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of LA to a restaurateur named Dana Hollister. Gomez wanted to sell it to Katy, while the remaining five sisters from the convent wanted to sell it to restauranteur Dana Hollister.

Wonder Woman 2: Kristen Wiig Roped In To Play Antagonist Cheetah
There's been a lot of talk about where Patty Jenkins would be going with the follow up to the critically acclaimed Wonder Woman . We noticed some chatter about Kristen Wiig ( Bridesmaids ) possibly signing on for a major role in the sequel to Wonder Woman .

They are now in a legal battle against Katy Perry, because the nuns planned to sell the property for a cool $15.5 million to a business woman named Dana Hollister, according to Just Jared. "She had nothing to do with forcing herself on us", TMZ reported. It's not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people, ' the late nun warned. They also claimed to possess property documents.

Katy Perry, meanwhile, is busily promoting ABC's reboot of the singing competition American Idol, on which she is a judge.

A judge ruled that the sale of the convent was invalid and Perry and the Catholic Church were awarded a total of nearly $10m (£7.2m) in damages in December previous year. Perry had offered $14.5 million for the property.

She collapsed during a court hearing in Los Angeles Friday, in what has been a protracted effort by the nuns to keep Perry from taking ownership of the property.
