After weeks of simply avoiding the products and being unresponsive to Nest, Amazon announced the company of its resolution by phone late in the year and stated the order "came from the top", something Nest took to designate it had been reached down by CEO Jeff Bezos. And now, it looks as though smart-home manufacturer Nest, also owned by Google, is set to suffer a similar fate.

Because of that, Nest has made a decision to stop selling all of its products on the online retail giant as soon as inventory is sold out.

In response to Amazon's decision, Google Nest chose to leave Amazon altogether, opting to stop selling any of its products on the retail platform. It's not the first time Amazon has refused to sell Google's products.

Per Business Insider, during a recent conference call between the two tech giants, Amazon informed Google's team about the decision to stop stocking new Nest products including thermostats and home security systems.

Amazon still does sell many other smart home products from other brands on its site, and may still allow third-party sellers from the marketplace to use its platform for Google products. While there appeared to be some reconciliation a year ago after an announcement on Google Chromecasts resuming sales on the e-commerce platform, they still aren't available three months later.

This is just the latest development in a battle between two tech titans that leaves consumers left in the crossfire.

Both Nest and Amazon has declined to comment, the report said. Right now, several Nest products are available with Prime shipping, but they're "fulfilled by Amazon" and actually being sold by other vendors.

This news shouldn't really be a surprise to most people.

As payback, Google blocked YouTube from Amazon's smart-speaker-with-a-screen, the Amazon Echo Show.

Amazon's decision to stop selling competing Google products reflects its dedication to making a name for itself the field of future computing platforms. The company reportedly spent over $1 billion for Ring in a trail fastening track its task of turning Alexa the ruling digital assistant in the homes of consumers.
