Del Rio's Raiders ended the season with a massive thud, losing 30-10 in Los Angeles.

The Raiders evidently are ready to make wholesale changes, however, as the organization is preparing to pursue ESPN analyst Jon Gruden with a strong offer that could include an ownership stake in the team, league sources told ESPN this past weekend.

Gruden went 95-81 over his coaching career, notching a 38-26 record over the first four years of his career in Oakland.

Is NBC Bringing Back Mad About You!?
Reiser, who recently starred in season two of Stranger Things , hinted at a revival in an interview with People in October.

Well, someone in the Raiders' management didn't appreciate that because they just fired head coach Jack Del Rio after three seasons. After going 7-9 in his first year, the team jumped to 12-4 last season and reached the playoffs.

Gruden, now an ESPN analyst, was rumored to be near accepting a deal to coach the Buccaneers last week.

The Raiders followed that up with one of the most disappointing seasons in the NFL. John Pagano, who was on the staff as assistant head coach-defense, took over as coordinator. The offense, including Derek Carr, performed poorly throughout the season. Under first-year coordinator Todd Downing, the group appeared to take a step back, particularly Carr and receiver Amari Cooper. Other marks, like completion percentage and yards per attempt, saw a dip.
