Costa Rica plane crash leaves 10 foreigners dead, government says

A plane crash in northwest Costa Rica on Sunday killed all 12 people aboard, officials said.
A video of the crash site obtained from Costa Rica's Security Ministry shows orange flames consuming a pile of blackened ruins, with plane parts scattered in an area thick with trees.
A U.S. State Department official confirmed that multiple U.S. citizens had died, but said the agency would not provide further details out of respect for the affected families.
It said the aircraft belonged to Nature Air and had taken off nearby. According to Costa Rican authorities, 10 of those passengers were United States citizens. The spokesperson would not confirm the nationalities of those on board.
