Curtis played Dr. Evazan in the famous Mos Eisley cantina scene in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope", threatening Skywalker when he bumps into another character, Ponda Baba.

During his career, Curtis also had roles in numerous TV shows such as The Bill and Lost Empires as well as the 1980 classic The Elephant Man. As horrific as he was on-camera, off-camera he was amusing, king & a real gentleman. Thanks, Alf- you'll be missed. "We're wanted men. I have the death sentence on 12 systems", he says.

Hamill's eulogy comes right around the same time that he offered another farewell to Carrie Fisher, who portrayed his sister Leia Organa.

Actor Mark Hamill, who appeared as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, paid tribute to his co-star online.

Alfie was an actor from Stepney, London England. he was born on July 28, 1930.
